Arap capital to hold summit in Turkey

The Arab capital, whose interest in Turkey revived during the ruling of Justice & Development (AK) Party, will focus on the current investment opportunities in the country at a summit in Istanbul.

The Arab capital, whose interest in Turkey revived during the ruling of Justice & Development (AK) Party, will focus on the current investment opportunities in the country at a summit in Istanbul.

The "Turkish-Arab Economic Forum" to be held on June 12th and 13th will bring together top-level officials from Turkey and various Arab countries. Turkish, Palestinian, Syrian and Qatari prime ministers as well as several ministers from UAE, Qatar, Jordan and Yemen will attend the forum.

Turkey's investment climate will be analyzed at the summit, while the country's real estate, tourism, energy, banking and finance sectors will be introduced to the participants.

Turkey's geopolitical role in the region and new cooperation opportunities between the country and the Arab world will be on the agenda as well.

The summit, which will highlight Turkey's geo-strategical position as an energy corridor between Eurasia, Europe and the Middle East, will also emphasize the commercial potential of the Arab states. Arab world comprises 22 states and its total population reaches 200 million .

Participants will also discuss the new investment strategy for the 1.2 trillion USD fund accumulated in the hands of wealthy Arab countries as a result of the soaring oil and natural gas prices.

Turkish entrepreneurs' potential role in the implementation of infrastructural projects to be carried out in Arab countries till 2015 will also be discussed at the "Turkish-Arab Economic Forum".
